About Paint Drive IO
Paint Drive IO is a territory game where your car paints the arena: you drag a continuous color trail behind you, close it into a loop, and every tile inside flips to your side.
That trail is also your weak point. Rivals can cut across it to erase a loop before it closes, and clipping a wall or another car ends your run instantly.
How to Play Paint Drive IO
Steer with the Arrow keys or WASD. The car accelerates on its own, so turning is your only input and no brake rescues a bad line.
Close a loop by driving back into your own trail. Packed downtown blocks pay more per tile than the empty fringes of the map.
Cut rivals by driving over their open trail — their loop dies unfinished and the ground opens up for you.
Tips & Strategies
- Bank small loops first. A three-second loop over a dense downtown block claims more tiles per second than one huge loop that leaves your tail hanging in open ground.
- Cut the greediest rival. A driver halfway through a giant loop has the longest exposed tail on the map, and cutting it deletes far more work than you risk.
- Never close through traffic. If your return line crosses a crowded intersection, abort and re-route. A missed loop costs seconds, a crash costs the match.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you win a round?
Hold the most territory when the timer ends. Packed downtown loops plus a couple of cut rival trails beat raw driving speed.
How long is a match?
One to five minutes depending on the arena, which is why one bad cut usually leads straight into a rematch.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, touch steering works in the browser version with nothing to install and no account to create.
