About Fish Sort Puzzle
Fish Sort Puzzle is a color-sorting game with an aquarium coat of paint: each fish has to end up in the bowl that matches its color, and you move them by picking one up and pouring it into a container.
The rules are the standard sort-puzzle ones — a fish only lands on its own color or in an empty bowl — which means empty bowls are your only real room to manoeuvre.
How to Play Fish Sort Puzzle
Left-click a fish to select it, then click a bowl to move it there; mobile players tap instead.
Fish only stack on a matching color or into an empty bowl.
Group every color into one bowl to clear the tank. Use the booster buttons when a board locks up.
Tips & Strategies
- Never fill your last empty bowl. An empty bowl is your working space. The moment your final free container is full, no legal move exists and the board is dead.
- Pour onto the biggest stack. Moving fish onto their largest existing group completes that color sooner and frees a bowl faster than spreading them around.
- Move single strays first. When two colors are tangled, parking one stray fish in the free bowl creates room before you commit to a big pour.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it get harder?
Yes — deeper tanks add more colors with fewer spare bowls, so the same rules need more planning.
What do boosters do?
They unlock boards that have stalled. Treat them as a last resort rather than a shortcut.
