Gem Mahjong takes the familiar pleasure of tile matching and dresses it in sparkling jewels. The board is stacked with tiles, each printed with a gem, and your goal is to clear the whole layout by pairing them off. Find two free tiles that show the same gem, then tap or click one after the other to remove them both. A tile counts as free when nothing is covering it, so the order you work in matters: free up buried tiles early and the board opens up. There is a twist that keeps every level lively. Cleared tiles drop into a slot tray along the bottom of the screen, and if that tray fills up, the level ends. Rather than matching at random, you want to plan a few moves ahead, just as you would in a classic mahjong game. When a layout has you stumped, the power-ups below the tray can lend a hand. Because matches are quick and boards are satisfying to clear, this is an easy game to settle into. It suits a quiet coffee break as much as a long evening, and no two gem layouts play out the same way.

How to play

Tap or click two free tiles showing the same gem to remove them. A tile is free when nothing covers it. Cleared tiles go to the slot tray at the bottom. If the tray fills up, the level ends. Use the power-ups below the tray when you get stuck.
