About Ember Boy and Ripple Girl
Ember Boy and Ripple Girl is a two-player fire-and-water co-op puzzler. Ember Boy burns through ice and oil; Ripple Girl slides across lava and gaps. Neither finishes alone, and the exit usually hides behind a hazard only one of them can cross.
Both players share one keyboard: WASD for one hero, arrows for the other. Levels turn on ordering — who moves first, which lever gets pulled.
How to Play Ember Boy and Ripple Girl
Split the keyboard: WASD for one player, arrows for the other.
Send Ember Boy through ice and oil; Ripple Girl across lava and gaps.
Walk both heroes to their gates before committing either.
Hold pressure plates and pull levers so the other hero can pass.
Reach both exits — one hero alone does not clear the level.
Tips & Strategies
- Scout as a pair Move both heroes to their first obstacle first. Most levels hinge on which hero moves second.
- Immunity decides order Send the immune hero through first — it usually reveals the switch the other needs.
- Park, do not wander Leave the waiting hero on a safe tile. A stray step into the wrong element resets the level.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can two people share one keyboard?
Yes. The game is built for a split keyboard, with no controllers or second device needed.
What happens on the wrong element?
The level restarts. Fire hurts Ripple Girl, water hurts Ember Boy, so keep each on their own surface.
How long is a level?
One to three minutes once you know the order. Thinking is the slow part.
